CBF awards scholarships to applicants seeking financial assistance for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (Sri Lanka) and/or Undergraduates selected to attend University (Sri Lanka).
The selection process in this regard is extremely stringent and transparent.
Minimum criteria for scholarships are as follows:
Advanced Level Scholar University Scholar
20 Marks 1st Year Scholars (Any Faculty)
A=4
B=3
C=2
S=1
Advertisements announcing scholarships are placed in the media calling for applications. Upon receipt of a request, the relevant documentation is forwarded to the applicant with instructions to complete same and re-submit with supporting documentation. All applications are reviewed by an Executive Panel who evaluate candidates based on the following areas of qualification:
- Academic Performance
- Financial/Livelihood Status
- Other Areas of Excellence (If Any)
- Special Circumstances
